A word from author Judy Lev:

Like diamonds, sentences must be polished in order to shine. Sentences are the building blocks of fiction and creative nonfiction. For your writing to shine, you have to learn how to polish your sentences. We will spend our heavenly week on Paros reading writing analyzing and polishing sentences. What could be more fun? This micro work will strengthen your writing, one word at a time, sentence by sentence, paragraph by paragraph. It will also strengthen you, the writer, so that your voice will have more authority on the page.

Come to Paros to write, to dream, expand, delete, imagine. Write what grabs you and won’t let go. Make it factual or make it up. Mix it up. It’s yours to mold shape throw out or into the world.

The retreat will take place in Tao's Meditation & Retreats Center, with its outstanding location, warm hosting ambience, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. Tao’s optional wellness activities (meditation, yoga, chi-gong) will enhance our writing potential.

Accommodation at the comfortable and welcoming Margarita Studios located in the fishermen’s village of Ambelas, a 3-minute drive or 20-minute walk from Tao's Center.

Cost = €1,200 total.

Includes

• Accommodation for a shared room at Margarita Studios
• For a single occupancy room please add 80 Euros to the total = 1280 Euros
• Breakfast and Lunch at Tao’s Center (vegetarian)
• Writing workshop

Does not include

• Transportation to Paros
• Local car rental
• Private session with Judy (80 Euros) To be made by appointment. First come, first served.

Registration:

To reserve your place, a registration fee* of €300 is requested.

The remaining payment of €900 (or €980 for single occupancy room) will be paid in cash upon arrival to Tao’s.
Half the registration fee is non-refundable. Half refundable until February 28th.

Costs do not include your arrival to Paros and travel on the island. It is highly recommended to rent a vehicle in order to travel independently and enjoy the beauty of Paros in Spring! After registration, participants will be addressed by Tao’s for coordination of transportation: Car / scooter / ATV / Bike / Taxi upon arrival. These costs will be paid directly to supplier.

Costs do not include dinners, other than April 23rd. Most retreat residents enjoy visiting local taverns for dinners. There is also a restaurant at Margarita Studios

Flights and getting to Paros

Fly to Athens (Israelis are advised to use an Israeli Airline) and then a domestic flight (25 mins) to Paros with Aegean/Olympic Air. You need at least 2-3 hours between flights to collect baggage and check in for the domestic flight.

Boats from Piraeus take approx. 3.5 hours sailing time to Paros. Bus and taxi (50 euro) from Athens Airport to Piraeus Port.
